Indonesia-Philippines Clash in Jakarta Off

JAKARTA – It would seem that the return clash between Indonesia and the Philippines in Jakarta has been called off. Both teams had wanted to use the game as a tune-up for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 but they just could not agree on the date.

In June, Indonesia had held the Philippines to a 2-2 draw in Manila.

Initially the return game was pegged for 15September 2012 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. Now, that date has been taken over by a game against Vietnam at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya.

Indonesia will make a return tie against Vietnam a week later at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi.
