Ceres Football Club and Dynamic Builders FC had proved to be the best teams in the second round elimination of the ongoing 2nd Conference of the North Football League by continuing to share the top spot by ending up with a draw. Skirmishes take place at the Ayala North Point in Talisay City.
Despite losing to defending champion Ceres FC in the first round, Dynamic came out in an offensive mode force a 2-all at the end of regulation.
Ceres, surprisingly, nailed the match’s first goal with Marvin Bruce sending the ball at the back of the net with 2 minutes past the opening whistle. But the lead was short-lived as Dynamic equalized by scoring in the 5th minute.
Both clubs showed eagerness to control the momentum but Aaron Amantillo scored Ceres’ second goal in the 18th minute to book a 2-1 advantage, at the end of the first half.
At the games’ resumption, Dynamic aggressively attacked Ceres’ defense as the former’s skipper Ali Go had a goal in the 42nd minute to level at 2-apiece. In the other match, Trimaxi-Agro FC finally notched a win over Real Ngrense, 5-3.
Archie Familiar nailed a pair of goals in the 23rd and 67th minutes, respectively, while FJ Serios also scored two goals in the 32nd and 44th minutes to lead Trimaxi, even as Bes Dela Noche delivered another in the 55th minute.
Meanwhile, R. Opelario led Real Negrense with two goals in the 52nd and 80th minutes as Luis Clauor shared in score sheet at the 74th minute.
Tournament officials had reset this match after declaring a force majeure due to unplayable field caused by heavy rains and lightning./WDJ
